We have been looking for the perfect rating system for many years. For the past two years we’ve been using Book Roast’s CAWPILE system, however, this is not particularly useful for genres such as historical fiction, crime thrillers or fiction with certain challenging tropes. After much trial and error we have developed a system that should cover all genre fiction. In addition we have developed further systems to rate manga/graphic novels and non-fiction. Using a rating system allows you to be consistent in your rating, so always choose the best system for you.
